“COPS” CRUISES INTO 25th SEASON

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15, ON FOX

Annual All-New “Ho! Ho! Ho!” Edition Airs Saturday, December 22

Milestone 850th Episode To Air This February

The milestone 25th season of COPS premieres Saturday, Dec. 15 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX, during which the veteran show will go on duty in Toledo, OH; Sacramento, CA; and Portland, OR. The following week on Saturday, Dec. 22 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), COPS will debut another unforgettable edition of the annual special, “Ho! Ho! Ho!” highlighting Portland, OR; Alameda County, CA; and Las Vegas, NV. The trailblazing show remains one of the longest-running primetime series currently airing on broadcast television and will celebrate its landmark 850th episode in February.

This season, the Emmy Award-nominated reality series will cover the U.S. from coast to coast and profile some of the country’s finest law enforcement professionals and more interesting suspects. COPS will film with police and sheriff’s departments in California, Florida, New Jersey, Ohio and Virginia. The show also will revisit Kansas City, MO; Sacramento, CA; and Broward County, FL, where the original pilot was filmed.

For nearly a quarter-century, COPS has followed law enforcement agencies in more than 140 U.S. cities and has filmed in Europe, Asia and Central and South America. It was the first American television program to follow police in the former Soviet Union. A true pioneer of the reality television phenomenon, creator and executive producer John Langley is often credited with introducing the signature “video vérite” style of COPS, a camera technique that notably influenced TV advertising, news reporting and other network and syndicated programming.

FOX: ‘Ben and Kate’ And ‘The Mindy Project’ Get Full Season Orders

As we noted, we hate The Mindy Project and I personally doubted that the show would make it past midseason and predicted that it would certainly not be renewed.  Again, I said I doubted that it would last midseason but made no definitive statement on that subject.  On the other hand, a full-season order is not the same as a renewal by a long shot and I still predict that it won’t be renewed for a second season.  That being said, I see nothing but good things coming in the future for Ben and Kate which just continues to be fantastic.

FOX PICKS UP TWO FOR TUESDAY!

NETWORK GIVES FULL-SEASON ORDERS TO NEW COMEDIES

“BEN AND KATE” AND “THE MINDY PROJECT”

October 8, 2012 – FOX has picked up six additional episodes of BEN AND KATE and nine additional episodes of THE MINDY PROJECT, bringing both new Tuesday night comedies to full-season orders, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“BEN AND KATE and THE MINDY PROJECT have everything we want to stand for in comedy: smart writing, hugely appealing casts and comedy that feels contemporary and real – which is why we’re confident they will continue to build on what is already an appointment comedy night for young, influential audiences on Tuesdays,” said Reilly.

In tomorrow’s all-new episode of BEN AND KATE, “The Fox Hunt,” airing Tuesday, Oct. 9, (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, BEN (Nat Faxon) and KATE (Dakota Johnson) discover an unopened envelope from 15 years ago that contains the yearly scavenger hunt their dad used to organize for them when they were kids. The find prompts them to complete the unfinished hunt, with BJ (Lucy Punch), TOMMY (Echo Kellum) and MADDIE’s (Maggie Elizabeth Jones) help, but raises old issues of sibling rivalry. Meanwhile, the scavenger hunt takes an unexpected detour when BJ enlists Kate to help get her belongings back from an old fling.

In the all-new “In The Club” episode of THE MINDY PROJECT airing Tuesday, Oct. 9 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), SHAUNA (Amanda Setton) takes the office to the hottest nightclub in town, where MINDY (Mindy Kaling) meets an unlikely suitor (guest star Tommy Dewey) who works as a lawyer for the New York Knicks. Meanwhile, DANNY (Chris Messina) hits the dance floor, JEREMY (Ed Weeks) hits on a bride-to-be, and MORGAN (guest star Ike Barinholtz) unexpectedly makes some extra cash as the club’s bathroom attendant. Season to date, THE MINDY PROJECT is the No. 1 new comedy among Adults 18-34.

From writer/executive producer Dana Fox (NEW GIRL, “What Happens in Vegas”) and executive producer/director Jake Kasdan (NEW GIRL, “Bad Teacher”), BEN AND KATE follows a pair of odd-couple siblings – one, an overly responsible single mom; the other, an exuberant dreamer – and their friends as they push each other out of their comfort zones and into real life.

BEN AND KATE is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Chernin Entertainment. The series is created and written by Dana Fox. FOX: ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Renewed For Fourth Season, We Lose All Hope For Humanity

Via Press Release:

FOX COOKS UP A FOURTH SEASON OF “BOB’S BURGERS”

WITH 22-EPISODE PICK-UP

October 16, 2012 – FOX has ordered a fourth season of 22 all-new episodes of the Emmy-nominated animated comedy BOB’S BURGERS, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“We love BOB’S,” said Reilly. “We are really proud of the way the show has grown over the past three seasons – without losing the unique voice at its core – and we know that the best is yet to come for BOB’S BURGERS and its fans.”

BOB’S BURGERS recently was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program as well as for a 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series. Premiering earlier this fall, BOB’S BURGERS displayed the greatest year-to-year growth of any returning broadcast series and ranks No. 2 in its competitive Sunday time period among Men 18-49, Men 18-34 and Male Teens.

In the all-new “Bob Fires the Kids,” episode of BOB’S BURGERS airing Sunday, Oct. 21 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, Bob worries he’s depriving his children of their summer vacation by making them work at the restaurant, so he fires them. However, the kids become so bored with their newfound freedom that they secretly get hired by a pair of married hippie farmers (guest voices and real-life spouses Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally), who hire the Belcher kids as “weed pickers.” Meanwhile, Bob hires Mickey The Bank Robber to help out at the restaurant, but soon regrets his decision.

This season, BOB’S BURGERS also serves up holiday cheer with the series’ first-ever Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes. In the upcoming Thanksgiving episode, Bob’s eccentric landlord, Mr. Fischoeder (guest voice Kevin Kline), invites the Belchers for an unusual Thanksgiving dinner to impress a former flame. In the Christmas episode, Zach Galifianakis guest-voices as a man who is infatuated with a mannequin, and believes he used to be a mannequin himself. Other guest voices this season include Jon Hamm, Jeffrey Tambor, Aziz Ansari, Bill Hader and Sarah and Laura Silverman.

BOB’S BURGERS follows a third-generation restaurateur as he runs his own burger joint with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves. The animated series features the voice talents of H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal.

BOB’S BURGERS is a 20th Century Fox Television production. The series was created by Loren Bouchard. Bouchard and Jim Dauterive serve as executive producers and writers. During their search, their paths will cross with Aster Corps’ genius, CALVIN NORBURG (Lukas Haas, “24”), whose rumpled exterior masks his true colors, as well as a complicated and intense religious zealot, GUILLERMO ORTIZ (Said Taghmaoui, “G.I. FOX: New Girl, Raising Hope, and Glee RENEWED!!!

Woo, hoo! We got renewed!

Gotta give FOX credit for raising the bar on their comedies even if we still think Glee jumped the shark in season two.  FOX has proven that they are a player, now, that can stand up to any of the other networks, even CBS.   Both Raising Hope and New Girl are solid comedies and they deserved renewal.

Via Press Release:
